Singing Breathing Exercises

Singing breathing exercises is a very important concept that you have to understand when you decide to sing.

Breathing is the process of taking in and out of air without us even realizing it.

It is something that we are not really conscious of but we do it every time.

In everyday life, it is just a process. However in singing, breathing is very essential.

It is something that you should be very aware of.

That is why there are singing breathing exercises to help you master your craft.

The air we breathe is just as important as the air we deal with when we are singing.

The way air goes in and out of your body is very important because it will determine if you did the process correctly.

Holding the notes without becoming breathless is very important so you should learn how to control the air passing through your body.

Breathing exercises for singing include how to take control of your breathing.

While breathing is an automatic process, in singing, breathing must be controlled. This is something that you should be good at.

The key here is managing the intake of air according to the notes or words of the song.

While in regular breathing, there is no concept of control because when you breathe, you just do it and that is that.

However in singing, there is a risk of getting breathless at the middle of the song because you did not control your breathing.

Singing breathing exercises will help you master it and below are some of singing breathing exercises you might want to try.

These should allow you to sing really good and not lose breathe in the middle of a verse.

One is to breathe in, hold and breathe out for three to four seconds.

First thing to do in this singing breathing exercise is to stand with feet shoulder width apart.

Then extend your arms and place your palms down.

Then you breathe in for three to four seconds, hold breathe for the same number of seconds, and breathe for another set of three to four seconds.

Another example among singing breathing exercises is to breathe with a hissing sound.

Similar to the first exercise, you should stand with feet shoulder width apart.

Inhale deeply then breathe out for as long as you can with a hissing sound.

The purpose of singing breathing exercises is for you to learn how to take charge of air passage.

The first exercise teaches you to control air intake for a certain period of time, while on the second exercise, you will learn how to release air in a steady manner.

As a singer, you must keep in mind these singing breathing exercises.

You must learn breathing in singing as if it is the same as breathing when not singing.

When you have managed breathing in singing as if it has become an automatic process, chances are, you are going to hit the notes right without fear of getting breathless in the middle.

Hopefully with these breathing exercises singing for you will become more challenging and more fun.
